If you haven't been to each of the GOTHAM bridges

-- like Brooklyn (right) -- you've missed the driving metaphor

of Madison County (the book) which is that we, like ants,

have been building bridges over every obstacle for

centuries and this is where our skills can now come in

handy as a human life-preserver. If you haven't seen

BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG CITY I recommend reading the

novel first. It's about making fresh starts. You and I may

have to learn to do many things all over again -- incl.

COSMIC CHRISTMAS. Also a

huge fan of Santa! Rudolph, Frosty!

Little Drummer Boy! I'd love to

start a RED BALLOON event for

JAN 1 but would anyone do it with

me? We all get helium red balloons

and release them at midnight with

a wish/prayer inside for the new

year! Anyone? Beuller...Beuller...

Do people still have enough hope,

carry through? I'd like to shoot

you haven't seen all that glitters that IS gold.

King Tut was buried with his gold to ensure he

couldn't be missed for all that gleaming bling!

The Egyptians were the sun-worshippers who

knew how to accessorize and wear lots of

eye make-up. I was thrilled to find this specific

video this 20 seconds is from. I'm going to make

an effort to use more video with D. chatting

with me -- he was hilarious and I miss that

infinitely. Bright people brighten the world

for us all! Be a star! Be a sun! Be GOLD!

three times a 'HO'! Even my cushions say

HO ME...I'm not joking they really do! I thought

I'd start this shiny time of year off with a

reminder just how magical and sparkly it can

be with my fav Christmas commercial O.A.T.!

And I'm recommending RUDOLPH'S SHINY

NEW YEAR 30 days early to get us all in the

mood for challenging the norms and focusing

on NEW beginnings and fresh starts.

This December maybe we can -- for once in a

very long time -- actually focus on people

and not money/gifts.

There's a bright, beautiful, bold world of life, light,

rainbows ready to beam about! Have you smiled

today? Laughed? Are you a beaming beacon of

brand new possibilities? This was one of the 11

sandstorms I've been so close to as it roared up

high and menacing. Learning not to flee from every

 storm that blows our way takes some habit-forming

gusto and guts but there's a magic we make when

we face our fears and follow our visceral spunk.

B E A M  M E  U P !

As tempted as I was to have XMAS

be December's theme,I volleyed a

few alternates before listening to

SEGER's STRANGER IN TOWN and

found myself moved by an album I've

listened to numerous times. I wept

actually. It's been the worst year

since HIROSHIMA and with the

vaccine on its way it's time to start focussing on BOUNCING BACK! Beneath the

ZEN we've all clutched for sanity's sake we are all ready to ROAR I think...scream...

"I'm not going to take this anymore!" So this month I've decided to leap

and freefall. This month I'm making the blog all about SHINING! With that comes

the obligatory need to be silent no more and not just LIVE loud but also LUST

LOUD and smile, laugh and dream louder.

We have all been living like numbers and morlocks too long.

We don't have to live dangerously to LIVE LOUD & BEAM!

Let's shine our pearlies and unleash our happy, hope & heaven on the world!
